“The New Times”

“The New Times”

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19)

Truthfully, 2025 was a year that stretched me in more ways than one. It put me in unfamiliar spaces, nudged me beyond what felt “safe”, and came with moments of feeling very uncomfortable. But it was all with the purpose of leading me into this “new thing” God’s been doing in my life. And for that, I am grateful.

It’s been a year that has taught me that in order to obtain whatever is meant for me, I must first become a version of myself that can sustain it. So this has come with a lot of releasing what I once knew, to now make room for the new.

& It has also shown me that I don’t need to have all the answers (for all my “planners”, a.k.a. control folks). I just need a faith that’ll stand firmly on the word God has spoken to me, especially when circumstances try to tell me otherwise.

So I share this to say, there may be times when the Lord calls us to step forward with nothing more than His promise. Yet, although the unknown can feel intimidating, we still must not allow the lies of fear to speak louder than the Truth.

And the truth is this: God is good, and He is faithful. When He speaks, you can trust that His word will never return void, and fulfillment begins with that next step of faith. It’s no longer about how you’ll get there but instead, about who you’re following. So may surrender become your freedom, His word your map, and this moment a mark of choosing to trust Him more.

Reflection of the Day:

  • What’s something you sense the Lord has placed on your heart to pursue, but you may have delayed stepping into?
  • What has become a “barrier” or form of resistance along this path?
  • What’s one step you can take in this season to move forward in the direction He’s calling you?
